About Me

My photo
Anacortes, Washington, United States
This is my testimony - my testimony of faith and lack thereof; of the rising and falling of hopes and dreams; of beliefs and disbelief's; of tremendous heartache and human folly; of reaching out and stepping out when all I want at times is to is pull back and step away. At the age of 30 I was diagnosed with a very rare neurological condition called Post-traumatic Syringomyelia (PTS). Please visit my post on PTS. One of my goals is to increase awareness of this terminal condition. Broken to Grace is not yet released. Follow this blog to receive an email when the final release date is announced. God bless, Ronda

Broken to Grace

Life is simply chaos personified and then orchestrated by God.
We have a symphony playing all around us and through us. And like any symphony there are changes in pitch, differing melodies, times of complete silence, and times of violent uproar that hit you at the very soul.
Make a point to pause for long enough so you can better hear the the beauty of the whole piece instead of the misunderstood noises of the singular instruments. In hearing how all the instruments around us work together, we can better see the beauty of our role in the symphony that is life.
The process of creating a beautiful symphony amidst the chaos of people learning to play takes a lifetime of work in relationship with God and people.

  1. Just want to share that the picture I put with this book quote is from San Juan Island, just around the bend from Friday Harbor, in February. Snapped this shot with my phone so it's not the best - but I love it and it seemed fitting.

Thank you - to all of you - for your love and gifts of sharing so much with me.

  2. Good Morning Ronda, Hope your morning finds you in peace with all that you have going on. That was a long trip for you by yourself. If you don't mind me asking... What did your neurologist have to say? We are tired today, yesterday allday I was not doing well, was in bed by nine and once I got to sleep, slept till about 4:30 am. :) I meditated myself to sleep, and it is such an amazing feeling to know I have that power and faith in myself to do that. Going to be a quiet day, it is snowing. Went out early to take Roscoe my dog for a walk, Ronda so quiet so beautiful, deer every where, not minding me or Roscoe. Ho lucky could I be. God Bless you.Carlene

  4. Grigore,
Thank you & welcome to my little blog.

I would love for you to quote those words on your page - however I would need you to site it as from '"Broken to Grace", by Ronda Rae Franklin'. This section is from a chapter of my book - in exact wording - so please use it, but please site it with the reference. I'd love it even more if you'd add a link to either my blog or my official Facebook page = )

I will absolutely keep working for you! It is why I'm doing this. I post daily to Broken to Grace on fB, but not on this blog right now. I'm working to get the book to the printing press and a blog takes much more time than keeping up with facebook. I look foward to finishing my final edit so I can spend time on the extended ministry of this book that I already see happening.

God bless - and glad to meet you!

  5. Rhonda,
Your writing is wonderful!!!I can identify with your quote of "take the time to better hear the beauty of the whole piece." My favorite thing to do is just be silent to enjoy nature and God's word. I wanted to say thank you for your encouragement of writing Ducks In My Pool. I am still working on it but will not give up. Your advice was helpful.

  6. Hi Sandra,
So glad to hear from you. And good to hear you are working on the writing of what you know I believe has wonderful potential for a children's book. You can do it - and it'll be great. I will buy it - so get that baby on the shelves!

I hope everyone reading this has had a very merry Christmas! God bless,

    Ronda
